Dr. Heather Kierl

Dr. Heather Kierl was born and raised in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and has always had a passion for creating confidence through beautiful smiles. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University, then completed both her Doctor of Dental Surgery and orthodontic specialty training at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
Her journey into orthodontics began at age 12—right from the orthodontic chair. Her teeth were so wild, she was captivated by the changes it made to her smile and her confidence. She knew she had to be a part of this for other people.
With over 12 years of experience, Dr. Heather is known for her warmth, precision, and love of all things smile-related. At Scissortail Orthodontics, she brings a calm, compassionate, and sometimes very chatty presence to every appointment.
When she’s not crafting smiles, you’ll find her spending time with her daughters, Vivian and Quinn (future soccer stars and potential orthodontists), standing near the front door anticipating her next amazon prime order, baking a new dessert recipe, scoping out the best coffee spots in town, or working out. She and Dr. Philip are proud to be raising their family in the heart of Oklahoma—right alongside their Scissortail family.
