Cristo Rey Oklahoma City Catholic High School offers something truly unique in the landscape of private education. At this extraordinary school, students gain more than academic knowledge — they gain real-world experience, mentorship, and the tools to build lives filled with purpose.

As part of a national network of Catholic, college-preparatory high schools, Cristo Rey OKC serves students of all faiths from families with limited financial means. Through its signature Corporate Work Study Program, students work one day each week in professional settings across the Oklahoma City metro, gaining over 1,600 hours of hands-on experience by graduation — all while helping fund their education.

A Community Celebration of Dreams

Each spring, the Cristo Rey OKC community comes together for Decision Day, a powerful and emotional celebration where seniors announce their college plans and share their dreams for the future. It’s a moment that encapsulates the mission of Cristo Rey: to prepare students for success far beyond high school.

Among this year’s graduates, Kendra Broom shared how her three years working at Bridges Health sparked her passion for helping others. Inspired by that experience, she announced that she would attend Texas Christian University to study sociology and become a clinical social worker.

Cristo Rey OKC alumnus Jonathan Ramos, a member of the school’s founding class, also returned to celebrate. His career path shifted thanks to the school’s work-study model. After an internship at Hall Estill Law Firm, he discovered a passion for law. Today, he’s on track to enter the University of Oklahoma College of Law in Fall 2025 — becoming the first Cristo Rey OKC alum to graduate from college and pursue a law degree.

Scissortail Orthodontics Supports Cristo Rey OKC

At Scissortail Orthodontics, we believe in investing in the future of our community, and Cristo Rey OKC is doing just that. We were proud to support their mission by participating in Battle of the Bags, the school’s annual cornhole tournament and fundraiser.
